Beginner classes

When: Tuesday evenings – 7:15pm until 9:15pm*
Where: Sheffield Bridge Club
Who for: Brand new beginners
Here we look into the beginnings of bridge. This class is aimed at those who have yet to learn about the wonderful game of bridge – complete beginners welcome. We will start to take a look at basic card play techniques and eventually get into the bidding with a view to eventually equipping you with the abilities needed to play competitive bridge!

Intermediate classes

When: Wednesday evenings – 7:15pm until 9:15pm*
Where: Sheffield Bridge Club
Who for: Players who have perfected the basics
In our intermediate class we will cover topics such as when to finesse and when to drop, conventions such as Asptro, Jacoby 2NT and Splinters and other key techniques to playing duplicate bridge. With newly constructed hands every week, we will look at what makes an average player into an excellent player. Come along to start your duplicate winning streak today!

‘Play and learn’ classes

When: Monday & Friday mornings – 10am until 12pm
Where: Sheffield Bridge Club
Who for: Any standard welcome
Often when playing bridge you would love to ask the opinion of an expert to make your next bid, or play your next card. This is what a ‘play and learn’ session is! This class looks to sharpen your overall game without concentrating on any one specific subject. It is suitable for any standard and is great for those looking to practice already learnt techniques!
